Founder
Shaimaa Yehia is a passionate Egyptian-Canadian entrepreneur, driven by a deep-rooted belief in connecting people, cultures, and businesses. With over 15 years of experience in technology consulting and digital transformation and change management, Shaimaa’s journey is not just about business—it’s about creating lasting change and positive impact.
Inspired by Queen Hatshepsut, whose legacy of establishing Egypt as a global trade hub through successful expeditions resonated deeply with Shaimaa since her childhood and ignited her desire to showcase Egypt's best-kept secrets—the premium products crafted by its people—and share them with the world.
After arriving in Canada as an immigrant, Shaimaa saw firsthand how much of Egypt’s goodness had yet to be shared with the world.
In 2025, she founded Amensis with a clear mission: to connect Egypt’s artisans, farmers, and makers with Canadian and global markets, giving these communities the platform to thrive while promoting quality, innovation, empowering local communities, fostering cross-cultural connections, and supporting sustainable business practices.
